Hi I'm Laura

I grew up in Utah. I love musical theater, literature, and baking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student. I love musical theater, literature, history, all things outdoorsy, and decorating cakes.

Why I am a Mormon

The world we live in is such a crazy, hectic, and confusing place. The church provides me with an anchor. Heavenly Father loves me, and He knows me better than anyone. He knows what is good for me, and exactly what I need in terms of comfort. The church helps me stay strong. It is a marvelous tool for me to maintain my relationship with God and Jesus Christ, and to make covenants with them. The church keeps me in tune with the Holy Ghost, and provides a clear and simple path to make it home. The church keeps me on track with that path, so that when I return to my Father in Heaven, I have lived my life in a way that He will tell me, "You have done well, my daughter."

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time religious mission for 18 months in North Carolina. I get to meet all sorts of people, help wherever I can, and share my love for Jesus Christ with everyone every day.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Laura
The scriptures are full of historical accounts regarding prophets. God would choose a prophet to lead His people in the ways of righteousness, to act as His mouthpiece in directing His church, and to hold all the priesthood keys (or in other words, the proper authority to act in God's name; i.e. quite literally, the power of God). God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He continues to guide His children by the same methods He always has. The living prophet today is Thomas S. Monson. He guides the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and fulfills his calling as a shepherd of God's children in these modern times. Show more Show less
