Hi I'm Spencer Davis

I grew up in Utah and am attending Brigham Young University. I love sports and the out doors. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports, I wrestled and played baseball in high school. I also enjoy the outdoors such as camping, fishing, hunting, and four wheeling. I am currently at school working on becoming a Physical Therapist. I am the second oldest in my family with one older brother and three younger sisters. I have grown up in the church and everyone in my family is a member. I am about to serve a mission in South Dakota and will be the first sibling to serve.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace that I feel when I am following teachings of Jesus Christ and his commandments. I have grown up in the LDS church my whole life, with active parents who taught me Christ teachings. However, I gained my testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel through the small things, As I was reading the Book of Mormon, going to Church, and seminary, and following the teachings in the Book of Mormon. I felt peace and comfort in my life. I soon came to realize that those feelings were the spirit and the answer to my prayers. Since then I have had so many small experiences where the spirit has told me that this is the true Church. I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon is truly another Testament of Jesus Christ. Every time I read the Book of Mormon I get a feeling of truth and comfort, and find answers to my prayers. That is why I am Mormon, because I prayed to know for my self, and God gave me an answer through the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the small and simple things like reading the scriptures, praying, attending church each Sunday and by fulfilling my church calling, and by being a worthy priesthood holder. I am currently a Missionary serving in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission. Leaving my home for two years to go teach the gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me realize a lot of things in life. It is not very easy and I have had to rely heavily on my faith in Christ and turn to him for help, and without a doubt each time I turn to my Savior Jesus Christ and put my trust in him, he has supported me in all my trials, troubles, and afflictions in life. By doing the small and simple things my faith has grown greatly and has really been a blessing in my life.
