Hi I'm Brooke Gutzwiller

I am a competitive long distance runner. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love being active and doing anything outside. I love spending time with family and friends doing crazy, spontaneous activities. I am a huge sucker for any type of adventure. I have been a long distance runner for many years now and spent my first year of college as a student athlete. I love helping people and search for ways to ease others burden. I am currently serving a mission in Portugal and I absolutely love it! In a nutshell I am grateful for all that I am able to do and all the opportunities I have had. Life is for the living.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the rock upon which I stand. I can't quite explain the feelings I get to feel through God's love, but it is a feeling that I love. Being a Mormon has brought more happiness and love in my life than I can possible imagine. The grandeur view of my faith gives me hope, gives me purpose. I know the Heavenly Father loves me and I love him. Honestly this church is everything to me. It is a happy family, an eternal perspective, beauty of the earth, kindness of a friend, it is heaven on earth. I know that this is the only true church and I have felt that to my core, I would not be the person I am without it. I am grateful for all that has given to me, I have been STRONGLY blessed because of this gospel. I am a Mormon, I am proud of it, and I will live it forever. There are somethings I cannot deny and the truthfulness of the gospel is one of them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the way I present myself. I live my faith by action, I believe that faith without works is dead. When I believe something strongly I follow it. I had to opportunity to teach others how to teach gospel doctrine. It really stretch me and I am so grateful that I was able to look deep inside myself and study hard.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

Brooke Gutzwiller
The Word of Wisdom is a protection of our body's health. The Word of Wisdom consists eating healthy, exercise, and avoiding harmful substances such as tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, and illegal drugs. These guide lines are no to restrict our freedom has individuals, for we always have our free-will, but to provide freedom of the substances. Allowing our body to be free from addiction and dependency. In actuality we are allowing our bodies to perform to the best of their abilities and not restricting the full capabilities of ones self. It is a huge blessing to not be tied down with addiction and to be able to function without impaired judgment. Show more Show less
