Hi I'm Nate

I love being with my family, exploring the outdoors, and serving with a smile. I enjoy reading, learning, and secret handshakes.

About Me

I owe my life to my parents. I especially love my Mom. I love music. I enjoy singing, latin and jazz music, playing percussion and piano. I am going to college. I love being outdoors and being active. I enjoy working with my hands. I like recreation like volleyball, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, and just about anything with a ball. I love nature especially when waterfalls, skipping rocks, or a picture-worthy landscape view are involved.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being happy all the time. This Gospel brings a peace in my life and I am genuinely happier, more positive, and I have a better outlook on life. Not to mention all the great people who are in my life that keep me pointed in the right direction. I have found a deep appreciation in reading scriptures. I sometimes visualize myself as if I were walking with the Savior, and listening to his voice. His presence is close in my life and it humbles me to know that I mean a lot to Him. I know He cares. While exploring the hymns and music of the church, there is a line I found. It reads: "I think of His hands, pierced and bleeding to pay the debt Such mercy, such love, and devotion can I forget" #193 I Stand All Amazed For some reason it stuck out to me more than everything else. I began thinking really, that perhaps Jesus Christ willingly sacrificed himself because he was thinking about me. Could that be true? I found a very comforting "Yes" ease my doubts. The comforter, even the Holy Ghost, had helped me believe in God's redeeming love. As a result, I try to give to others that same love that I feel. I pattern my life after the Savior. I just feel happy all the time. My family has taught me a lot about forgiveness, overcoming trials, and how to have fun. As a kid, we would spend time together everyday laughing, telling fun stories, being goofy, and then a prayer before bed. The foundation I gained, has helped me want to do the best I can in education and relationships. I love the Plan of Happiness. I'm grateful for a loving Father in Heaven. I love being with friends. And I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I was the leader of my community youth group for a while. We would do service projects like weeding, gardening, raking leaves, or shoveling (depending on the weather and seasons). We had weekly gatherings where we would invite anyone who wanted to come for fun activities and games. We were always willing to help, have fun and invite others to join us.
