Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a Communication Disorders major, a tennis player, a hiker, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Communication Disorders. I want to be a speech therapist for little children who have not started school yet. I love to get a group of friends together and play some tennis when we have time, or when I am home play with my little brothers.. I also love to play my violin; it is my most prized possession. Most of my favorite things to do involve the beautiful mountains. I love to go on destination hikes of all difficulties, and I love to camp. One of my favorite things to do is drive up the canyon, find a place to park, and look up at the majestic stars. It is then that I see how insignificant I am, and despite that my God still loves me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was actually born into the church. My parents are very religious and I grew up knowing all the little kid church songs. As I grew I came to know for myself that this church is true. I love to share what I know with my friends, and I love seeing the smiles on other’s faces when I serve them. I have read the Book of Mormon and spent time on my knees praying to know if it really came from Christ and Heavenly Father through divine inspiration. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. If that book is true, so is everything else.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many different ways. Currently, I have chosen to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or the Mormons. I will serve from May 2013 to November 2014. I will move to the Philippines, and learn to speak their language and love those people. I want to give them the light of the gospel that has changed my life.
