Hi I'm Kacie Jones

I'm a student at BYU. I'm an EMT. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kacie and I am currently a missionary in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. Prior to my mission I attended school at BYU and worked on my major in biology. My goal is to get into medical school after I finish my undergraduate degree, specifically into the Physician Assistant program. I am currently a certified emergency medical technician (EMT) and hope to work in emergency medicine as a PA. I love being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and never had a miraculous conversion. As I got older I knew I needed a testimony of my own and began to pray to know the truth of the gospel for myself. I kept waiting for this huge confirmation and it never came. I finally stopped expecting such a huge event and allowed to the spirit to come quietly. I realized I had known all along. My testimony developed bit by bit into what it is today. I have been able to have multiple experiences throughout my life which have further testified of the truthfulness of the gospel and strengthened my testimony. I know this gospel is true with all of my heart! Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me and every one of their children. They have created a beautiful plan and if we are righteous, they will bless us. I have seen and experienced the happiness provided by living the gospel of Jesus Christ and want to share the peace and blessings that come from it with the people in my mission.

How I live my faith

Before receiving my mission call I was a gospel doctrine teacher in my young single adult ward. Being able to teach every week has prepared me greatly for this next stage in my life as a missionary. I had never had official plans to serve a mission. My plans were to finish school and if the time came and I was not married, I would serve a mission. When the age change for missionaries was made in the October 2012 general conference, I received my answer loud and clear. I was supposed to serve a mission, no question about it. The age change has come at the perfect time for me. With so much schooling ahead, I was unsure of how I would leave in the middle to serve a mission. The announcement could not have come at a better time. I know Heavenly Father has a plan for me. He has prepared a way for me to accomplish all that I want to and will continue to guide me where I need to be.
