Hi I'm Talon

I am a lover of sports, cereal, naps, and FIFA. I am a missionary in Long Beach, California. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Long Beach Mission in the Spanish Language. I decided to put my education on hold to serve a mission and share the gospel that has helped me so much in my life. Before I was a missionary, I enjoyed hanging out with friends, playing soccer, playing FIFA, and taking naps. Now as a missionary, I enjoy reading scriptures, sharing the gospel with others, and trying to help as many people as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into a family with a long history of members of the church, my personal conversion story is much more complicated. I attended church regularly and was raised by good, Mormon parents. I never really developed my own testimony and was truly converted to be a Mormon until after High School. In High School I was one of only a few people in my school who were Mormon. Everyone knew that I was Mormon and that I did not do things like drink alcohol, do drugs, or smoke. Although I always followed all the guidelines given by the church, my testimony was still very small. After I graduated, I attended Brigham Young University (BYU).Here I met so many amazing and strong people who helped me develop my own testimony. I was able to take a Book of Mormon class and read it with my friends that I met at BYU. As I read more and more of The Book of Mormon, my testimony grew strong and my love for The Book of Mormon grew also. My favorite part about BYU was being able to connect with the friends I met in a whole new way: Spiritually. Because of my experiences at BYU, I decided to submit my missionary application and dedicate 2 years of my life to serving the Lord and sharing his gospel. I want to show people how much their lives can change by attending church, keeping the commandments, praying, reading the Book of Mormon, and most importantly, knowing that their Heavenly Father loves them and will always be there for them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day through missionary work. I also live my faith by trying to be the best person and missionary I can be.
