Hi I'm Erica

I'm a public-relations student, over achiever and missionary. I crave the energy of cities and stages. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an over-achieving public relations student at BYU-Idaho. My goals are to work in the Big Apple as a public relations specialist for performing art clients. When I'm not fully engaged in my academics, I enjoy outdoor sports. Rock climbing and wake boarding are my absolute favorites but you name it, I've probably done it. I also thoroughly enjoy the performing arts. I've been singing for about 15 years and have had much experience in other areas such as theater and dance.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon. You may ask yourself, "What does she know about the real world?" To answer, plenty. Like every person on this Earth. I've been faced with my own share of difficulties. Some of them so difficult that I was on the verge of giving up all hope. In the midst of my despair during difficult times, the Savior was always there to pull me out of the mud. I always felt an encouraging emotional pat on the back as if He was telling me to keep going. I know that if I had abandoned everything I believed in and just given up, I wouldn't have felt that type of encouragement to keep moving forward. Growing up outside the "religious bubble" has helped strengthen me. I have learned how to stand strong in my faith, even when I stand alone. I have learned how to share my faith, while respecting others' faith and to have more gratitude for what I have that what I have not. Everyday, I am reminded of the blessings that we're given as humans. Our loving Father gave us this beautiful planet to live on, friends, jobs, knowledge, curiosity, kindness, family and other countless blessings that show His love for each of us as individuals. He knows us, He knows you, and He loves you.

How I live my faith

Right now, I am preparing to be a missionary in Colorado. As a missionary, you sacrifice a year and a half to two years of your life for one sole purpose: to invite others to come unto Christ. I won't be allowed to watch movies, date or go to school during that time but I know that by sacrificing my time to serve God, I will not only be able to help enrich the lives of others, but I will learn and grow in ways that only a mission could provide.
