Hi I'm Brandon Schauers

I grew up in Southern California. I am a missionary in Colorado Springs.I attend Brigham Young University-Idaho. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I'm Brandon. Throughout my life I have always been highly involved in Student Leadership in my High School and Middle School. I was elected to be the first Student Body President of a brand new High School that opened in my school district. I know the Lord led me to the decision to transfer to the new school. It changed my life and led me to where I am today; preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I will be serving in the Colorado Colorado Springs Mission for two years where I will teach people about the joys that following the example of Christ can bring to our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both LDS, and I was born into a gospel-centered home. I grew up going to the LDS church and gained a testimony a very young age. I love the gospel, and the joy it brings to my life. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I am so eternally grateful for the sacrifices he made for me. I am so grateful for the knowledge of where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going after I die. I love my Heavenly Father and the opportunity to pray to him whenever I want, and receive answers to the questions I ask. It is an incredible feeling to know that my Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to succeed in everything that I do. I know that we have a modern-day prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and I know that he warns us about the things that are to come. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been restored by Joseph Smith Jr. by the direction of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I am serving a mission to share the joy I have and help others feel that joy and have it for themselves. I know everything that I have said is true and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

The standards that I have gained from the LDS Church have molded me into who I am today. It is not easy at times to follow the standards but the standards are simple. During high school I surrounded myself with people who had the same standards as I have so we could help bring each other up. My friends and I do not drink, smoke, go party, or any of that. We have a great time being in each others company. I knew going into college I wouldn't have all of the same friends. So I wanted to go to a school where I could surround myself with people who had the same standards as I did. I chose to go to Brigham Young University-Idaho. Choosing to go to BYU-Idaho has been one of the best decisions of my life. I am now serving a full time mission for two years in the Colorado Colorado Springs Mission. I know that I am following the example of Jesus Christ by being a missionary. I feel an incredible joy when I see people come unto Jesus Christ and get on the path towards eternal life.
