Hi I'm Desiree' Hyzer

I have 7 older brothers. I love Japan. I play the violin and I'm serving a Mission in Brazil. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest in my family, I have seven older siblings all boys. My parents have been married to eachother for 38 years. I have 24 nieces and nephews and I love them all to pieces. I love anything pertaining to Japan and this wonderful gospel. I'm serving a mission in Fortaleza, Brazil and loving every second of it. =)

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon all my life. It's hard to really express the feeling you get from being a member. I love being a Mormon. I'm healthy, I have a keen mind, I always have a goal that I work towards. I have a good work ethic. This church means so much to me. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints (Mormon), has the fullness of Christs teachings. I know this to be true. You can't help but notice something different about the church even our own members see it. This church has made me a better person and I'm thankful towards it with all my heart. I love this church, that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to attend every church activity that we have; granted work sometimes prevents me. At least I attend the big meetings. I pick out the hymns we sing and direct the music as well. Whenever there are group service projects I attend as often as my time will allow. I visit as many people that I can who are in need of my service's. I babysit for those in my church who wish for a nice night out even those who aren't part of my church; every one deserves a date night. =) Currently I'm living my faith by serving a full time mission.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Desiree' Hyzer
A testimony is someones personal testament about spiritual things. Like Christ is our Redeemer and Savior. Joseph Smith is the prophet that God called to restore his church in this time. It's given to the person by the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost witnesses to the person about things and they come to know that what it's witnessing is true thus they testify about it and it becomes part of their testimony. Show more Show less
