Hi I'm Benson

I am a humanitarian. I LOVE learning about the world. I hope to travel it someday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the world! I love it's physical beauty but more importantly, the amazing people that inhabit it. As long as I can remember I have wanted to travel the world, but it wasn't until a few years ago that I decided that I wanted to do it through humanitarian efforts. This dream started rolling towards the end of high school when I was privileged enough to serve the people of the Philippines for two weeks with a humanitarian organization. This experience changed the way I viewed the world and helped me recognize the importance of recognizing mine own blessings and thanking my Heavenly Father for them. I hope that this dream will not be stopped and that I can truly make a difference in the lives of those all around the world! I am also a college student who is obsessed with learning about the cities and countries of the world. I have now memorized the capital and largest city of every country in the world... Hopefully someday it will be useful! :)

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was raised in the church, I had to find out this for myself. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) and I continue to live by its teachings because of the incredible peace that it brings to my life and to the lives of all those around me who follow the church's teachings. I appreciate the answers in detail to my many questions about life before and after this one. Possibly the most confirming of all the doctrines of the Church is that Christ's atonement allows for us to repent and live with Him and the Father once again with my family. I can't imagine living this life without the knowledge that I can be with my family forever!

How I live my faith

Having been raised in the Gospel, I have had ample opportunity to serve in various callings in the church. I have been in many positions in which I am one of the leaders of my peers. I have also been able to be a weekly helper in a special needs program that the church runs. I was assigned a buddy with special needs and asked to come and be his friend for an hour and a half every week. All the opportunities that I have had have taught me so much and helped me become who i am today! I try to live the Gospel of the Lord with exactness. I am definitely not perfect but I hope to get a little better every day!
