Hi I'm Celeste

I am a missionary in the MTC learning Portuguese, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Celeste and I just finished two years of school and now am taking a break to serve a mission. I am really into the sciences, math and biology especially. I am studying to be a biological engineer and am loving it! I play the mandolin and tenor banjo and enjoy playing music with my family. There are six children in my family and I am the third oldest. I love this gospel and I know it is the source of all my happiness! I cannot wait to dedicate an entire year and a half to spreading the happy news of the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is Christ's true church on the earth. I know this because as I have strived to live my religion to the best of my ability all these years, I have found true happiness and peace. Everything about this gospel feels right to me. I have had questions, but they have all been answered through study and prayer. Because of my faith, I know where I came from, where I am going, and what my purpose on this earth is. Those are things everyone deserves to know. My testimony of the truthfulness of this church grows stronger as I learn more about it. I am a Mormon because this church provides all truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving a loving those around me. I recently served as a member of the institute of religion council where I attended school. I planned activities that invited others make friends and feel the love of Christ. My favorite part was getting to know so many people! It is so easy to feel love for others when you are serving together. I love to be involved! Last summer I worked at a girl scout camp and worked as a counselor. That camp for so many of those girls was an escape from a hard life. It was our job to give them a place where they could feel loved and learn to appreciate the great outdoors. I am now currently preparing to serve a mission in Campinas Brazil. Living my faith has never been more true than now. All day everyday, we are learning more about the gospel and sharing it with those around us.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Celeste
All things testify that there is a God. For me, His creations have always been a big indicator. The complexity of the human body, how our intertwined ecosystem functions, a plant's ability to get all of it's energy from the sun, and the list could go on forever. The world around us is too divinely designed to have just been created by chance. Show more Show less
