Hi I'm Kylee Spjut

I was born in Texas and grew up in Kentucky. I have three favorite colors. I like cowboy boots, giraffes, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have a degree in communications from Brigham Young University. I served a mission in Baguio, Philippines and loved every wet and hot second of it. I grew up playing soccer my whole life. I am the youngest of six. I love watching movies and quote them any chance I get! I love being outside. I love the rain. I have had the opportunity to travel to many countries and learn about their history and even the history of my own ancestors. I love The Book of Mormon, the leaders of the church, the truth of eternal families, and the Priesthood.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! There are so many doctrines and elements of this church that make me grateful that it is the true church and that I am a part of it. I love the fact that we can be an eternal family. I love my family so much and through the sealing power, I can live with my family and Heavenly Father forever. I am grateful to have a knowledge of the plan of salvation which helps us to return to our Father in Heaven and His Son. I have a testimony of temples and the ordinances that are performed there. I am grateful for the priesthood. Worthy men can hold this priesthood power that has blesses my life and others' in so many ways. I love that church gets the members involved so much; whether it being through callings, giving talks, service, home teaching and visiting teaching. I love the youth programs of this church. I have a strong testimony of that and the importance of having good friends in the church who share the same standards. I have a testimony of The Book of Mormon. I know it to be true and I know it can change lives. I have a testimony of Latter-day prophets, modern revelation, and missionary work. I am so thankful that our living prophet receives current revelation, which makes it possible for things like allowing more missionaries to serve missions. I am so thankful for this church and love being Mormon.

How I live my faith

A grew up in a family that encouraged me to live my faith diligently by reading scriptures, Ensign articles, General Conference talks and more. I enjoy getting involved in my community by doing service. I try my best to find people to talk to everyday and see them how the Savior sees them. I attend ALL of my meetings, and grateful for parents who taught me the importance of that. I bear my testimony. I attend the temple. I read The Book of Mormon and I smile. I ask Heavenly Father everyday to help me become the person that He wants me to become. I talk to people who I know have strong testimonies and try to mirror my life in similar ways. I try and stay happy, always. The Lord is in the details of my life and I try to remember that things tend to work out.
