Hi I'm Lauren

I am an American, a BYU college student, an aspiring nurse, a lover of all thing chocolate, and.... I'M A MORMON!

About Me

My father is in the FBI so I moved around a bit while growing up. I've lived in California, Arizona, Virginia, and Utah. I attended high school in Utah and was a member of the tennis team, a Student Body Officer, and a second soprano in our Concert Choir. My dream is to enter the BYU nursing program when I return from my full time mission in Sydney, Australia. I want to do humanitarian work with my nursing degree and travel the world to meet as many different people as I can. I love talking with people and hearing their stories. The more I learn about other people, cultures, religions, and traditions, the more I realize that I know so little of all that can be learned. I hope I never stop learning!

Why I am a Mormon

I guess the honest answer is I'm a Mormon because my parents are Mormons. I was lucky enough to be born in the church and to be taught the gospel since I was young. As I grew older, I read the Book of Mormon with the intent to know if it was truly the word of God. The feeling I had was undeniable and I am certain that Joseph Smith was a prophet and the the Book of Mormon is ancient scripture translated by the power of God. I know that as we follow the Prophet and live the commandments, we will be blessed and we will be happy. I have seen it in my own life and I am so excited to share what I know with the people of Australia!

How I live my faith

I taught lessons in the Relief Society- a group of women in each ward that gathers together once a week during our 3 hour block of church. I am preparing to serve a full time mission in Sydney, Australia!
