Hi I'm Maddy

I'm from Oregon. I'm a fashion design student. I am preparing to serve a mission in Barcelona, Spain. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a fashion design student and am strongly determined to one day become a fashion designer and share my love for fashion with others. I have been sewing since about the age of 7, and it has been my growing passion ever since. I love just about anything to do with music, art, nature, and everything creative. I was born in Oregon but have moved back and forth between Oregon and Texas throughout my life. While I have lived in Texas for the past 8 years, I will definitely always be an Oregonian at heart. I absolutely love nature and exploring the world's glorious beauties our God has given us. I love to express myself through art, song, and dance, and strive to have fun in everything I do. I love my family and absolutely love the LDS church, which is why I am thrilled to be serving a mission and sharing my love for this gospel with those in my mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because this church has brought me a never-ending joy and happiness I cannot possibly imagine living without. I am so blessed to have grown up in a home where the gospel was always present, and loving parents who taught me and raised me to become what God desires. I know this gospel is the Lord's, and it is full of only truth. I feel so blessed to have a prophet and apostles of the Lord on the earth today. Following their counsel enables me to continue on the path I intend to forever travel. The gospel has shown me and helped me understand my self-worth. I know I am worth a large amount in the Lord's eyes, and always want to live my life in a way so I am able to keep my worth. I'm a Mormon because living the standards of this church has greatly blessed me, and has allowed me to live a life free from captivity. I know the Lord has given us commandments only to help us become everything he intends for us. I know the Lord lives. He loves us all greatly. He will answer our prayers if we pray earnestly to Him. I know through the atonement we can return with Him after this life. I know we have the opportunity to live with our families for eternity, and that is something I take great comfort in. I love my family and can't imagine this life being my only time with them. I have a strong testimony of this gospel. I'm absolutely thrilled to be dedicating the next 18 months of my life to serving the Lord and His people, and cannot imagine anything better to do at this time!

How I live my faith

I am currently a ward missionary and with this calling I have the opportunity to learn from the missionaries in my area, as well as how to better teach others about the LDS church. This calling has been a huge blessing in my life as I have learned how to improve myself as a missionary to others, more fully and better prepare to serve a mission, and serve in ways which are most needed by others. I have greatly learned the importance of fellowshipping others and being a friend to all. I live my faith by involving myself in service projects as well. As youth in high school, we had so many great opportunities to serve others in service projects, and I was touched and blessed every time. I live my faith by serving, teaching, and fellowshipping. I live to be an example of the Lord's church, and to share love, and kindness, and my beliefs with others.
