Hi I'm Courtney

I grew up in Utah. I'm a dancer. I'm a runner. I love food and to have fun with friends. I am a missionary. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to dance! I was a figure skater for about eight years and then picked up ballroom dance for a couple years and loved it! I also love to run! I ran the 400 m. dash and mile on my high school track team and have ran the Ragnar distance relay and a few others. I have attended a year of college and love to learn! My plan is to major in dietetics (nutrition) so I can help teenagers who are struggling with eating disorders realize that they can overcome them! I love helping and serving others! My favorite food is pizza! I love to eat. I love to talk to people and be with friends! Most importantly, I love my family so much! They mean the world to me! I am also now serving as a missionary for the church! I love the gospel and it brings so much joy to my life! I want to share that with the rest of God's children and help them come unto Christ, and help them to know how much their Heavenly Father loves them!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior Jesus Christ and want to return to Him someday and become like Him! He is the ultimate example and I strive to become more like Him everyday. I am not perfect, but the power of the Atonement I can strive for perfection and become perfected in Him. As I continue to exercise the Atonement in my life as I make day-to-day life mistakes, I learn and become more like my Savior. That is what is so amazing about this church, it is all about becoming more like our Savior, the perfect example of righteousness. This gospel brings happiness to me that I cannot find anywhere else. Our Savior loves us with an unconditional love and He wants each and every one of us to return to Him, so He has prepared a way for us. I have a testimony that Joseph Smith restored this gospel on Earth to us today and that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today and that he has the power and authority to receive revelation from God. Families can be together forever! I am so grateful for this, it is such a blessing in my life. My family means so much to me, words cannot describe how much they mean to me. I am grateful for the happiness the gospel brings to my life!

How I live my faith

I love being a member of my Savior Jesus Christ's church. What a wonderful blessing that has been to me in my life. I am so grateful for the teachings of the Gospel and the comfort, knowledge and peace it brings to me each day. I love being able to turn to my Heavenly Father at any moment for help just by kneeling in prayer to Him. I am currently serving a full-time mission for my Savior where I have the wonderful opportunity to help bring His children back into the fold. What a privilege it is for me to stand as a representative of Jesus Christ and be able to look at each person I come in contact with each day and see their full potential and the way the Savior feels about them. Though I am a full-time missionary now, I have not and will not always be blessed to wear the black name badge and teach the Gospel all day everyday, but I will always be a missionary. I have been blessed with opportunities leading up to this point in which I have been able to serve those around me in various different callings I have had in the church. Through each of my callings I have been able to serve others and help them reap the benefits of the Gospel that I enjoy. I plan to continue to be a missionary my whole life, because I know what wonderful blessings this Gospel promises, and I want each of my brothers and sisters to be blessed with the knowledge of the Gospel.
