Hi I'm Katrina

I'm a beloved daughter of God. I was born of loving earthly parents. I'm a woman of great worth. I'm a Mormon. ♥

About Me

I am a twenty year old woman. And much of my twenty years was spent on being a Mormon. I am always grateful for that wonderful blessing. People usually say I look young and that my speaking voice is sweet and high-toned. I love to sing! My singing voice isn't really amazing but it's still developing. :D I love dancing! I learned ballroom dancing and it's really fun. I love reading books. I've read Meg Cabot, Paulo Coelho, Mitch Albom, Suzanne Collins and a lot more. I love playing the piano. I started learning when I was 16. I was an awful pianist but now I can play more smoothly than before. I also love doing family history. Family History tells much about my life, where I came from and who lived for me to live. :) Well, I am a daughter of God. ♥

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon. My parents were Mormons and so I became a Mormon. I am grateful for my parents because they brought me to church. Since I was a child, I was taught by my parents and Church leaders that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and that he sent His son Jesus Christ to save me. I understood this truth little by little. My testimony was greatly dependent on my parent's testimony until I knew it for myself. I was already in my late teenage years when I finished reading the Book of Mormon. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. In its Introduction, it says you will become closer to God if you read it. It is true. I have proved it for myself. I knew how merciful our Father is. I felt his love more than ever before. When I finished reading the Book of Mormon from cover to cover, I humbly asked Heavenly Father if it is true. I waited for an answer. It didn't come instantly. But when it came, I felt peace and joy I've never felt before. I can't explain how peaceful and joyful it was. But it was the Holy Spirit telling me that the book is true. It was a wonderful experience. I know that we do have a Father in Heaven who loves us and so he sent his son Jesus Christ to save us. I know that the Holy Spirit bears the truth of these things. I know this is true. I am a Mormon. ♥

How I live my faith

Two important things I do are praying and reading the scriptures. Prayers show how thankful I am for every day and how the Lord answers my pleadings. Prayer is a personal communication between me and Heavenly Father. I always try to read the scriptures in the morning. Doing so makes me feel wonderful all throughout the day. It makes me feel closer to Heavenly Father. It inspires and empowers me. :) At Church, I teach the children how to sing. Songs are really effective in teaching them lessons. I love the children now. I appreciate them more than I did before I became their teacher. I also teach anyone how to start their own family history. This is one work I really love. Helping others do family history is like making them feel the love they have for their ancestors, and their ancestors for them, too. I also visit people in my community together with other women and with the full time missionaries. I love visiting people because I can be a help in reminding them that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them. We also have an evening with a certain family. Lessons are made, games are played and food is served. This activity makes families become closer. We also do this in my own family. It unites and strengthens my family. I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus. ♥
