Hi I'm Kay

I grew up in San Marino, CA and now live in Utah. I currently work for eBay in Customer Service. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married mom of seven children ages 9 to 25. I currently have two children serving missions, one in the Philippines and one in California. Two of my daughters are married and I am going to be a grandma for the first time soon! I love to spend time with my family. We like to do all kinds of activities, including hiking, fishing, camping, going to the movies and local events. We also like to go swimming, bowling, ice skating, roller skating or just playing Frisbee at the park. I enjoy reading, cooking, researching family history and scrapbooking. Sunday dinner is always a big deal at our house! I have had an eBay account since 1998 and have bought and sold lots of stuff. I started working for eBay in 2009. I work part time and enjoy helping people start selling on eBay. I am also taking classes at University of Phoenix to further my education.

Why I am a Mormon

I first heard Joseph Smith's story of the First Vision when I was 14. I longed to know more about the "Mormons." The kids I knew who were members of the Church really stood out and I ended up joining the Church when I was 17. My membership in the Church has made a world of difference for me. My parents both were addicted to alcohol and becoming a Mormon helped me to avoid that path. My sister was not so fortunate and died at the age of 33 from liver disease. I'm so grateful for a testimony of the restored gospel. I have been very blessed as a result and will continue to follow the prophet for the rest of my life. I know it's the right thing to do!

How I live my faith

I currently teach the 8 and 9-year-old children on Sunday. I enjoy teaching children about the Gospel. I used to teach the nursery aged children and had a lot of fun with that as well. I love the children I teach and always try to make my classes interesting and fun.
