Hi I'm Eric

I'm absolutely crazy about soccer. I'm serving my mission in Milan Italy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year of college. I have been completely fascinated with airplanes ever since I was a little child and I want to be an Aeronautical Engineer. I always loved playing sports. I played baseball for 8 years and basketball for 6, but my real passion is soccer. I love everything about the game. I am an Eagle Scout. I also play the trombone and have since I was in 4th grade. I am incredibly passionate about music and the effect it can make in people's lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church. My parents took me to church each Sunday and taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ. I've always believed that what my parents and my church leaders were teaching me was true because it just felt right and to me, made perfect sense. I had heard many testimonies of those claiming that they knew that this church was true, but I wanted to know for myself. So I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to my Father in heaven to know if it was true, and I received my answer. I now can tell you that I know beyond a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church of Jesus Christ on this Earth. I know that the prophet Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his son, Jesus Christ, and restored this gospel to the Earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that when you read it, you will feel the spirit of the Lord. I would never sacrifice two years of my precious life to something that I wasn't fully committed to and knew was true. I know that the Lord needs me to serve the people of Italy, and I can't wait to show them the love that I have for them, and more importantly, the love that the Savior has for them. This gospel brings me so much joy, and I can personally testify of the joy that it will bring to your life, if you choose to accept it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by just being the best person that I know I can be. I look for those who are in need, and I go out of my way to help them, whether it be just holding a door open, or helping someone carry their school books. I always try and treat everyone the way that they deserve to be treated, as sons and daughters of our loving Heavenly Father. I stand up for what I know is right, and I try and set a positive example for those around me. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and I can't think of a better way to serve him and truly live my faith everyday, than to dedicate the next two years of my life to serving him. I will be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Milan, Italy and I could not be more excited to go. I recently was in charge of all of the men (about forty) living in my hall at school. I had the opportunity and privilege to meet with them and teach them each Sunday. I got to share my thoughts and experiences with them about how I lived my faith each day, by following the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I can proudly say that all forty of them are going to serve a mission.
