Hi I'm Katelynn Boyd

I was born and raised in Texas. I'm an Artist. I'm a big time reader. I am a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Katelynn. I was born and raised in Texas. I am going to school for my two favorite things. Art and English. I read more then any thing. I have three sisters and was raised by a single mom. I'm going on a mission to Idaho Pocatello mission, I leave in April 2014. I have been a member since birth but like every one I was converted. I can't recall a specific moment when I knew the church was true but as I have lived it my whole life I slowly realized that I believed It and I feel I always will. I have wanted to serve a mission for a long time now and when the moment came when I could send in my papers I didn't hesitate. I received my call in March and it reviled I was to leave in April only four days after I am to turn 19. After my mission I hope to attend BYU in Provo Utah and get a degree in either English or Art and what ever I choose I will minor in the other. The four most important things in my life are First the gospel, Second my family, Third my books and love of reading, and Fourth my talent and passion of art. These are the things that make me who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the church is true. Having had it my whole life and seeing other who are not as luck as I am; live and wonder in darkness unsure of their worth and purpose here on earth. I am Mormon because I know its the only way I will ever truly be happy because I have always been someone who is unhappy if I don't have the facts or whole picture and I know that with the gospel I can gain full knowledge of why I'm here and what I am doing and what I can become. I know I'm not yet fully like my Father in heaven but I know with the gospel I can become like him and live with him again and that means more to me then anything else in this world or the worlds to come. Most importantly I believe my savior lived and died for me. I believe the book of Mormon is the true word of God as is the bible. I believe that this is the only church in the world with the whole truth of Gods plan for us. I know it. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

Ever since I was a baby my mother thought me the gospel and the very best way to live it and the beauty of repentance if I were ever to stray. I live my faith by the way I dress, speak, act and treat others. I have always had a very high regard for modesty and how I present myself in the way I dress, I do my very best to respect myself and others by wearing clothing that keep the church stander. My mother always thought me that if I'd be ashamed of my clothing choose if I were to meet my Savior then my clothes were not a good choose. I have always tried to keep my words clean and be a good representative of my faith with every word I speak. I try at all times to keep my actions in check as I live the gospel and live as a representative of my heavenly father. When I was younger and in school I was made fun of for things I couldn't much help and since then I have always tried my hardest to make sure I never make others feel the way other had made me feel in the past. I believe strongly that treat other how you want to be treated and when you are cruel to one you are cruel to god because we are his children and he loves us.
