Hi I'm Jonathan

I enjoy helping others in need. I thrive on the small things in life. I cannot dunk a basketball or knit. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always enjoyed spending time with my family. Some of the best memories that I have are of times spent with my family doing the things that I enjoy. Something that I am really grateful for was the opportunity I had to grow up in the mountains. I have always enjoyed spending time outside mountain climbing, skiing, and mountain biking. There is nothing like a blanket of powder or a nice trail through the mountains! These pass times have made me incredibly grateful for all that Heavenly Father has given us. I came to know at an early age that some of the greatest satisfaction and joy in life comes from helping others succeed. I have always tried to find activities and organizations that help in the support of others. One of the things that I found most worth while was tutoring a class of fourth graders. The thrill of helping those students reach their potentials and develop a confidence and hope for their education was phenomenal. Right now, I am serving a mission in Bakersfield, California likewise helping people reach their potentials but also helping them develop faith and hope for this life and the life to come. Though life has many things in store, I believe that this work that I am involved in will be my most significant accomplishment.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. First of which is that I find such a great joy in the Gospel. The doctrines and teachings that this Church contains speak of the truth of eternal principals. There have been many different occasions where I have had personal confirmation that what I am learning is true. This comes from a sincere prayer to Heavenly Father and trials of my faith in my own life. I am a Mormon because I enjoy the guidance that comes from living after these principalities. I am blessed by doing the small things that help me along a path of pure joy on a daily basis and in years to come. The testimony that I have acquired from many years of trials and revelations is of absolute importance in my life. It is something that has brought me such great joy and is something that I hope that I will be able to share with others. By doing this, I hope that they will be able to come to the same knowledge and peace that I have obtained.

How I live my faith

In a church setting, I have really enjoyed how I can go to a place where others can relate to me. There is also an overwhelming spirit of acceptance where most all of those that I come into contact with are very welcoming and love unconditionally. I enjoy the responsibilities that I have had that make me feel needed and help me help others. I have been called as a teacher for a group of other men the same age as I am. Through this, I have been able to enjoy the blessings that have come from teaching lessons that mean the most to my friends. I always find joy in teaching my peers something that is applicable to their lives and helps them to understand God's great love for them in one respect or another.
