Hi I'm Ryan

I am a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I always try my hardest in school and work hard to achieve my goals. I graduated from high school one year early and attended college for one year prior to serving a mission. I enjoy serving people and helping people succeed in school. I am planning on attending medical school to become an Anesthesiologist after earning a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience or Biochemistry. I enjoy camping and traveling with my family. I enjoy hiking and biking when possible. My favorite places to hike are in Zion National Park. I have played many instruments during my lifetime. Some of these instruments include piano, saxophone, oboe, and cello.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life. I feel like I have been truly converted through my trials and adverse times throughout my life. During each trial, I have used my faith to help me through. I have learned over the years that I can rely upon the blessings of the priesthood and upon Christ to get me through hard times. Christ is always there and will be there to lift us up when we are struggling. I feel like developing my habit of more sincere prayer and daily scripture study has helped bring me closer to God. When I pray more sincerely, I feel like I have the presence of the Holy Ghost with me and I am able to discern what I need to know. From reading my scriptures, I have developed a stronger testimony and am able to share it more frequently. I have read the Book of Mormon two times and each time I read, I develop a stronger testimony and learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I know that Christ is there and willing to help us through. He knows what we are going through and desires to help us. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to return to live with them again. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God and restored the Gospel to the Earth in these latter days. The Church of Jesus Christ brings happiness and blessings that help us return to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Christ atoned for our sins and we can be baptized and repent so that we may be pure and clean. If we sincerely pray and seek answers to our problems and struggles, we will receive answers. I know that the Holy Ghost provides us answers and if we listen, we will be guided to eternal life.

How I live my faith

When I have spare time, I try to serve those around me. In the past, I have made fleece blankets for local hospitals, help clean up yards, and volunteer at the local children's hospital. I earned my Eagle Scout award by making 25 fleece blankets and 200 or more bead kits. When I worked at a hospital, my goal was always to help make people comfortable as much as possible and be friendly with them. I am currently a missionary. In the past, I have been president of the deacons and teachers quorum. I was the first assistant in the priest quorum prior to becoming a melchizedek priesthood holder. By serving a mission, I am helping those I am teaching become closer to Christ. I am developing lasting relationships and developing skills that will be beneficial when I am a parent.
