Hi I'm Jill

I grew up in Spokane as a convert. I'm a nurse and a wife & mother. I love who I am. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a sister, daughter, wife, and mother. As a mom the MOST important job I could ever have is that of nurturing and teaching our children. I love to read, sew, play volleyball, be outside, and cook new foods. I earned my nursing degree as an adult, ran three marathons, and love to experience this beautiful earth as I travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am encouraged to know for myself through personal prayer that what I learn is true. Nothing can ever replace the sweet, reassuring feeling of the Holy Ghost testifying of truth when I feel it. It's an individual, personal experience that can't be replicated with scripted words or well intentioned friends or family. When I hear words of eternal value I feel the warmth and comfort of the Holy Ghost. I'm a Mormon because I want that feeling with me always. I'm a Mormon because as I worship Jesus Christ as our Savior I gain a greater appreciation for His Atonement that enables me to partner with Him to become a better person and eventually live forever with my family. It is a loving plan from a loving Father in Heaven. I'm a proud Mormon. I love it and live it everyday.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my words and actions in our home, in working with the youth at church, and as I interact with others in the community. With an understanding that I'm a daughter of a Heavenly Father I am empowered to use that strength to better my life and the lives of others. I live my faith with a sure knowledge that I have the capacity to learn and therefore become who I'm capable of becoming. His will has become my will as I choose to become more teachable and live by the Spirit that I might become closer to Him.
