Hi I'm Andrés

I am from Chile. I love airplanes and aviation. I like playing sports and doing outdoors activities. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a studying commercial aviation engineering. I love my career and my dream is to work for an international airline supervising the development of its air fleet. I love hanging out with my friends and having movie nights with lots of food! Some of my hobbies are drawing, basketball and learning how to dance salsa! I am very interested in anything that's unusual and out of the normal.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because of many reasons. First, I came to know that God lives. This changed forever the way I lived my life. I had two choices: live my life the way I wanted or the way He wanted. After some giving it some thought I realized that it wasn't really 'my' life because He had given it to me, therefore the choice was evident. Later I observed that living my life according to what He has said is actually the best and only way to true happiness. I have learned that the set of principles and things that God has taught us that we should do in order to have a happy life have a name. His recipe for success is called 'The Gospel of Jesus Christ' which is everything that Jesus' taught. As I have followed that recipe I have been able to witness for myself that they are indeed true. I have also learned that this 'Gospel' can only be one, because God is just one. And the reason why I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is because this is the place where I have found this 'Gospel' in its pure form, or in other words the true version of it. I know that this is the church of Him whose name it bears, even Jesus Christ. Therefore it must have His Gospel, or God's recipe for success and eternal happiness. I know these things are true. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith from the moment I wake up. Even though I'm not a very good morning person, usually one of the first things that comes to my mind when I wake up is to say my morning prayer. It makes such a big difference in my daily routine to offer up that very first prayer. I try to live my life according to the standards that I have chose to follow. I believe that they can help me live a whole and happy life. I teach principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ (things that Jesus' taught) to others every other sunday at church. I love to share these things because I have seen the blessings of living those principles in my own life and it makes me want to share them with others. In short, I live my faith every day as much as I can because it brings great joy into my life when I do so.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Andrés
If you have heard something about Jesus Christ, or you know a little bit, perhaps a lot, but you are a bit confused because of the great variety of beliefs and christian denominations that teach so many different things, and you find yourself wanting to know more about Him, then these young men and young women can be your best resource. You can ask them any questions that you may have and they will answer it to you. If you want proofs of what they say to you (which you have the right to ask for) from the scriptures (like the Bible for example) they will give them to you. Basically they are there to help you learn more about Jesus Christ, but now in the way that they'll tell you what to believe or what not to belive. They'll help you make your own connection with heaven and have God himself tell you what is true. This is priceless. They'll teach you how to pray, how to communicate with God, and anything that you may want to know about Jesus Christ, God's plan for us (which includes answers to questions such as why are we here?, where did we come from? and where are we going after this life?) and many other things. These missionaries are eager to share this message of joy. They can really be a blessing to you life. If being close to God is what you're looking for and learning more about Him and Jesus Christ, then I strongly encourage you to meet with them as this is everything that they'll talk with you when they visit your home.
