Hi I'm Felicia

I'm an average gal from Utah. I enjoy running, yoga, and the great outdoors. And guess what, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love comfort and simplicity! Sometimes I feel like an odd duck or an old soul, but I try to embrace the moments that life brings to me. I love to knit, run, do yoga, and get lost in the world of a novel. I love food!! I am a big time foodie. My heart's dream would be to own a hole in the wall restaurant or a local bakery. I am also a vegetarian. Just talking about a recipe full of fresh fruits or veggies makes my mouth water. I love clean, healthy eating! I want to take care of this body I have been given and just feel good too. I also dream about being 5 years old again, that is why I am currently working towards a degree in elementary education. I want to take naps and have snack time too! The importance of learning is something that I am very passionate about. I believe that with knowledge comes power and every child deserves the opportunity to experience the world through learning and have the ability to achieve their dreams.

Why I am a Mormon

I recently returned home from serving a mission for the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I spent 18 months serving the Lord and devoting every second of every day to God's children. It has forever changed me. Before my mission I attended church and there were moments when I really felt that I believed in being a Mormon and felt that this is truly Christ's church restored to the earth. I can now say that I KNOW. I know with my whole heart that this is truly the way to ultimate happiness, peace, success, and it is the way established for us to return to live with our Savior and Heavenly Father again someday. I am a Mormon because there is no other way to live. There is no other way to be truly happy and to have an eternal family. I have embraced the principles and doctrines taught with my whole heart and I will never be able to change that, nor would I want to. I have seen so many answered prayers, so many hearts changed because of this gospel. I am changed everyday because of it. I am a Mormon because as I read the Book of Mormon and the Bible, I learn something knew every day and I feel closer to my Savior and I am closer to who my Father in Heaven would have me be. I am a Mormon because it is simple and there is comfort and peace in following the Savior completely.

How I live my faith

I love simplicity. I think that is how I live my faith, in it's simplest form, which is striving to be like the Savior, each and everyday. The best way to be like Him is to share His infinite love. I try to do as He would do. I strive to be caring, compassionate, and understanding. It is just that simple. The gospel of Jesus Christ is about following His teachings and He is the best example of living what He taught. I try to emulate our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in any way I can in everything I do and in every interaction with God's children. I study the word of the Lord and I try to have a personal relationship with God because He is literally our Father. I want to do His will and become the best version of myself and help others to do the same! It is through action that I show my devotion to Christ and how I help to strengthen my knowledge so I can in turn strengthen others. The Savior came and His focus was never on Himself, it was on those around Him. My deepest wish would be to develop that kind of charity.
