Hi I'm Lark

I grew up all around the US which created my desire to travel the world. I have been to 5 continents. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attended the U of U where I studied international poli sci and economics. I worked in logistics for 24 years where I traveled the world for both work and pleasure. I recently changed career paths and now work in finance which gives me more flexibility with my family. I'm a mom of 3 teenagers and encourage them to learn and develop their talents, knowledge, and skills. My husband serves in the military. We are a very patriotic family and strongly support the freedoms our founding fathers established for us.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised Mormon, my father was not active. I could choose to attend church or not. Over the years, I realized that following the commandments gave me peace and joy. When I was 21 I made a conscious choice to serve a mission for the church. This was a turning point in my life and help solidify my testimony that the gospel is true. I was able to see first hand how the gospel changed people's lives and allowed them to find peace in a turbulent world. I continue to be active in my church because of the peace I feel inside as I serve and help others.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities including an LDS mission to Sweden where I grew to love the people. Over the years, I have helped out in the church organizations for children, teenage girls, and women where I have been a teacher, mentor, and councilor. I currently help out with the Cub Scout program and find this to be a great start to building strong young men. I enjoy serving others and believe my involvement contributes to feeling part of my church "family."
