Hi I'm Pasitaua Haufano

I love chocolate chip cookies and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Talofa Lava, Malololelei and Kiora, I am a Polynesian Kiwi who was born and raised in New Zealand. I come from a family of 8 children and I have grown up learning to be grateful for even the little things in life like spending quality time with family, making the most of what you have, working hard and to never give up. My hobbies include Music, Design, Art and Sports. I love singing and playing the guitar at the beach with a cool glass of lemonade. Just in case your'e wondering, my favorite animals are Tigers. I am currently serving as a full time missionary in Texas for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I have been truly blessed to meet so many wonderful people here in Texas whom I have come to love so much.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me and my siblings in the Methodist and Catholic faith. As a teenager, I quickly lost interest in Church in general because it became more of a chore and I felt no purpose. For years I went through life thinking I had everything I needed. I made the mistake of never even thinking about God. I struggled so much in my life growing up because of the choices I made and I did not know where to turn for real peace and comfort. One hot day, Me and my siblings were outside playing in the front yard until we see two young men walking in suits with huge smiles on their faces. I didn't know who they were but I felt calm and open speaking with them. They introduced themselves as the Elders and without hesitation we invited them into our home. The Elders taught us their unique message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We enjoyed the feelings we had every time the Elders taught us. I soon learned that those feelings was the Spirit of God telling me that what the Elders were teaching us was true. For the first time in a long time, I learned what true happiness was and it came from our Heavenly Father and following his son Jesus Christ. So I decided to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized like he was. I quickly learned that the Gospel of Jesus Christ and going to Church was no longer a chore but more like oxygen to my soul. I promise you that there is no greater Joy than the joy you get from living the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have come to know and remember that God is our loving Heavenly Father and that his Son Jesus Christ is the Savior and redeemer of the World. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet and servant of God who was called to restore Jesus Christ’s Original Church and the full Gospel back on the Earth. I know that both the Bible and The Book of Mormon is the word of God and that every word in it brings us closer to our Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by loving and serving others, and striving each day to live a good life.
