Hi I'm Philip Herrera

I am a Mormon. I am going to serve a mission in Manaus Brazil for 2 years. I love to run when everyday.

About Me

I am about to go on my mission for this church to Brazil. When I can I love to run to stay in shape and also compete. My favorite subjects in school is math and history. On days off from school I usually hang out with friends or stay at my house and relax when possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know that this is the only true religion here on this earth today. Being Mormon also helps me understand that my Heavenly Father loves me and he knows me. Also he knows everyone here on this earth because he is are father and created us. As a Mormon it helps me feel much better about myself here on this earth and it helps me better understand why I was put here. The main reason I choose to be Mormon was because I know that if I was not Mormon I would be lost forever and never given the chance to return to my Heavenly Father above. Being Mormon gives me a chance to live with him again since its the true church.

How I live my faith

I help plan what the 16 to 18 year olds do every week when they get together. Also I go around and hometeach with my dad at least every month to see if people need help and how they are doing. I go to church every Sunday with my family its so great.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Philip Herrera
We celebrate the major holidays like Christmas and Easter. Plus other Holidays that are know to Countries. On Sundays we dress in a white shirt with a tie on it. Also black slacks and a belt. Last we wear black or brown shoes with black shocks. Women were dresses or skirts that are modest and do not show to much. Plus we celebrate birthdays and ones that come along as you grow up Show more Show less
