Hi I'm Jordan Welch

I have Lived in Utah all my life, I love our Savior Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and currently attend the University of Utah. I am Bio Chemistry Major declaring Pre-Med with a minor in Piano Performance. I have always wanted to become a Doctor since I was young and the field i am interested in is pediatric surgery. I love little children and I want to be able to make a difference in their lives. I have played the piano since I was seven and love it! Well at first I didn't but I have grown to love it. The ability to play the piano has been a real gift from my Heavenly Father and I am so grateful for it. Music is an escape for me it allows me to take a break from this world and draw closer to our Savior. Music is extremely powerful and can invite the spirit like nothing else. I love the outdoors so I'm lucky I live in Utah, great hiking trails and camp sites are only 15 minutes away. I love to backpack and hike as well as go camping. There is something very spiritual when you are in the middle of Gods beautiful creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this wonderful gospel but that doesn't mean I always believed in it. As a child I grew up learning about our Savior, and our Father in Heaven as well the stories from the Bible and the Book Of Mormon. I was baptized as a member of the Church when I was 8 years old. When I was 16 years old I began to have serious doubts as to if this church was true. I stopped going to church and stopped praying. I got caught up with work and began working every Sunday. I was unhappy and felt like something was missing from my life. I realized that it was the gospel of Jesus Christ that was mission from my life, and at that moment I decided I would figure out for myself if this church was true. I began to attend my church meetings again and I started to read the Book of Mormon we had read it before as a family but this was my first time to read the book by myself. It took my quite some time to make it through the entire Book of Mormon but when I finished it I decided to take the Challenge given in Moroni 10:3-5 to pray to see if these things are true. I knelt down and prayed to my Father in Heaven and asked him if the Book of Mormon was true and if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. Following my prayer I felt this overwhelming feeling of peace and Joy and this sure knowledge that I knew they were true! I Know that this Church is the True Church of Jesus Christ, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God. I Love Being Mormon!!!

How I live my faith

I am currently Full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. I am serving in the Washington DC North Mission Spanish speaking! I love this opportunity I have to help others come unto Christ. The gospel has brought me such peace and joy that I want to help others recieve the blessings I have recieved! All the members of my family are LDS and we enjoy family home evening every week in which we get together and discuss different stories in the scriptures. I love this gospel and I am grateful for the example of the Savior in my life.
