Hi I'm Danny Medina

I grew up in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua. I'm a musician & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! my name is Danny and I currentlu go to college and attend the LDS Institute right in front of the college. My major currently right now consists of being a computer & software engineer. I personally love and enjoy being around computers. I'm also a musician and play in my hometown. I play at local events and sometimes local restaurants. I'm a very nice person to be around with, and very friendly to other people. I am not afraid to meet and talk to new people. I have also brought to the church and baptized 2 of my closest friends, and so far from what I can see, they're really enjoying and are grateful for being in the church. Other than that, my hobbies are playing guitar and the violin and sometimes creating my own music. I also like to got out with the missionaries and helping them out in preaching the gospel to others. It can bring so much happiness seeing a person from receiving the first discussions all the way to getting baptized and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. I've seen that happen in my and in the life of others and it really does bring me great joy. There's a line from one of my favorite church music groups that says... "He knows your trials He knows your needs He smiles down when you succeed He knows your joy He knows your pain He knows your heart He knows your name" These phrases have made me grow closer to Him know Him a little bit more, and I am so grateful for that. I am also grateful for the missionaries for all the great work they do.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why I joined this wonderful and amazing church is because, I myself, had the opportunity to find out for myself if this church was really the true church. I've prayed about it and asked God if this really was a true church and ended up receiving an answer. When I finally got my answer I was the happiest little boy in town! I was very happy that, for myself, I found out that if this church was true. I then decided to get baptized and join the wonderful group of saints all around the world. I was very happy that I have chosen this path to follow. Now look at me! I'm going to church and fulfilling my duties that I need to accomplish and have also grown a tremendous testimony for the church. I also have many friends along with me that have helped me so much in what I need to do to get closer to Him. I currently have one of those best friends on his mission. He is serving the Lord with all of his might that he may accomplish what he needs to do. I too, want to go on a mission like him and serve for 2 years in a place that I do not have much background on. It would be great to go out of the States, but I think that wherever the Lord sends you that there is a reason for him sending that way. Him serving his mission is going to help him so much when he comes back. He's going to have a lot of maturity and most of all, he is going to have a lot of spiritual knowledge out there with him when he is ready to go out there and conquer the world. I have a testimony that I know this church is the true church restored on the Earth today. I know that Joseph Smith restore the church along with his counselors going through persecution. I know that he, Joseph Smith, restored and translated the Book of Mormon. I to believe it to be another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that we have a living prophet in these latter days, guiding us with all of their might to bring us back home to out Heavenly Father. I want you to all know also that He, your Father in heaven loves you.

How I live my faith

There are many ways, me as Mormon, I participate in the community as well as the ward that I am part of. In the ward there are many calling you can be holding and one of those calling is being the ward missionary, and that is exactly what I do in the ward and also for the ward. What I basically do is I go out and visit those families that are inactive and see if they need help in any way I can help them. I also have constant communication with the missionaries that attend the ward and see if they're doing alright and if they need anything to provide it to the best ability that I can. I also talk with the youth group at the church about how important it is to be serving a mission. I tell them that serving is a very and vital thing in a every young mans life. It gets you ready for the real world and teaches you self-confidence. Back when I was in the youth group I served as a secretary and a counselor for the young men that served with me. I also was involved with helping out the leaders carrying out events and talked about how this event can help the young men spiritually and sometimes even physically. Helping out the young men has helped me out so much in life. They teach me things that I never knew about. It's also so very great work along with the young men because you can see how much their testimony has grown in their teen years. On the other hand, I have also showed in the community that I am a Mormon, by participating in the event of cleaning up the city and making look like a better place to in. Helping in the community has been so helpful to me and also to others. I have helped in so many types of organizations by helping those who need it the most and helping them achieve their goal. I am so grateful to be a Mormon in these latter days. I think I can be role model to those around me and help them become who they want to be. I think that it is very important to try to become who you want to be because in reality no one can tell who you really are in life.
