Hi I'm Wyatt

I am a musician, and I love to wakeboard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love playing the guitar and singing. Music is one of the best ways I express myself. Playing sports and being active is a big part of my life. Some of my favorite activities to do are wake-boarding and snow skiing. I enjoy going to church and living the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (or a Mormon). I attended church weekly and was taught the gospel by my parents and leaders of the church. I was able to see the blessings that came from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though the church was a big part of my life I often put it behind other interests. I started to have questions which lead me to want to know for myself that the church was true. I studied the Book of Mormon and pondered in my heart its teachings. I asked God in prayer repeatedly and with all the energy that my soul had if the Book of Mormon and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints were true. I wanted to know more than anything, and I was willing to act on whatever answer I received. In time, my prayers were answered with a confirming feeling and knowledge that the Book of Mormon and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints were true. I also know that there is a God and Jesus is the Christ. I continue to receive that answer daily as I live in the knowledge of the truth. I know this Church to be true. I am so happy because of that. It has changed my life.

How I live my faith

Being apart of this church has provided me with many opportunities to serve and love others. Like many other members I have been asked to serve in positions, or callings, in the church. Such as visiting others in their homes and sharing a message of the gospel with their family, providing service to those in need who live in my community, and helping my peers learn and grow in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Going to Church on Sundays is a way for me to feel the spirit, and learn of what God wants me to do. It refreshes me, and strengthens my testimony of Jesus Christ. Throughout the remainder of the week I try to live the way that God would want me to. I serve others, read my scriptures, and pray daily. The Gospel is my life. My love for God motivates me to serve and love others.

Who are the Mormons?

Mormons are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The name 'Mormon' is a nickname because the Church believes in the Book of Mormon (which is ancient scripture revealed to and recorded by prophets in the Americas during the same time the Bible was being written in the Old World.) The church was organized in 1830. We believe the Bible. We believe that our church is the same as the original church that Jesus Christ established when He was on the earth. Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

One of the greatest reasons we are here is to have joy! We find true joy by keeping the commandments and living the way God wants us to live. We know that true happiness comes from living the gospel of Jesus Christ. So we try and live it the very best we can. We pray daily, study the scriptures, and attend church so that we can strengthen our understanding of God's plan for us, and the way to live with him again. Family is such a big part of our lives! We learn to love like God does in our families. We enjoy sharing this happiness with others by serving them and doing missionary work. This life is a gift and we intend to make the most of it! What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Absolutely! We believe that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. We love him! He is the Savior of the world. When Jesus lived on the Earth he lived a perfect life and taught us by his word and his example how we should live. He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and gave his life on the cross to save us from our sins as we follow Him. This is called the Atonement. Because of the Atonement we can be forgiven of our sins as we sincerely repent. Through His Resurrection, Jesus Christ saved us from death. Because he overcame death, we will all be resurrected and our spirits will be reunited with our bodies for eternity! Because He lives, we will live again. Because of Him, we can change. Because of Him, feelings of guilt and shame become peace. We love and adore Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
