Hi I'm Brian

I grew up in Boulder, Colorado. I currently live in South Jordan, Utah with my beautiful wife, Sharon. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have 3 boys, 2 daughter-in-laws, and 3 beautiful grandchildren. My favorite vacation is scuba diving (drift diving) in Cozumel, Mexico. I find diving to be peaceful, serene, with beautiful creations that take my breath away (or may be that was the time I ran out of air :)). I am a financial executive and have been the Chief Financial Officer for various companies. I am currently the CFO of a Private Equity Company based out of Utah. My career has been such that my family and I have been blessed to live in various parts of the world. We have lived in Denver, Colorado, Stockholm, Sweden, Dallas, Texas, Vancouver, Canada, and South Jordan, Utah. I have also been fortunate to visit numerous countries on almost every continent throughout the world. I never cease to be amazed at how many wonderful, beautiful, and good people there are in the world. I am grateful to have good friends from every part of the world. Whether it be those who I have met with weath untold, nobel prize winners, or those in meager, humble circumstances, I find a common thread among us all...all of us are seeking happiness in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I believe it is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth. I am happy in this church. "By their fruits ye shall know them..." I have seen the fruits of kindness, love, and service from the numerous Latter-day Saint members I have met in various countries throughout the world. No matter the language spoken, I see peace and happiness in those that live the principles of this gospel. This gospel brings that peace and happiness. That is why I am a Mormon and that is why I am happy!

How I live my faith

My testimony in the gospel has grown tremendously over the years. Each day, my wife and I read a passage of scripture together and take turns sharing our thoughts with each other on what that particular passage means to us and how we can better our lives and the lives of others from what we have read. This method of study has brought new insights and understanding of the various sciptures and ways I can become a better person. My favorite church callings in the LDS church have been working working the youth. Taking young men snow caving, camping, hiking, fishing, as well as arm wrestling and learning new things with these young men have kept me young at heart and kept me optimistic about our future leaders.
