Hi I'm Miranda Robison

I'm a lifeguard, College Student, lover of the outdoors and soon to be LDS France Lyon missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a current college student down at SUU studying for a Bachelor of Science in a Political Science degree. My interests are with history and current issues involving the environment. I love going hiking, biking, swimming, running and any other physical activity dealing with the outdoors whenever possible. Recently I went to Zions National Park to spend a whole day enjoying the scenery and experience several hiking trails. I love to read classic books and popular fiction novels. I enjoy spending time with my family and working at the local pool as a lifeguard and swim instructor. I'm one that wants to take every opportunity life has to offer me, because I always find happiness in experiencing something new.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon (or as I prefer Latter-Day-Saint), because I feel in my heart that this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What I've learned my whole life from this religion, makes sense and fits together in every aspect of life that I know. Faith isn't something that has tangible facts to grasp, but it does come with beliefs and feelings that only you know to be true for yourself. I have felt the mercy of Gods love for me with every sincere prayer that I have said through out my life. I know that being LDS promotes good habits, happiness, community, and values. I believe that when I die I will be judged for the way I have lived my life, and because I know that this gospel that I live is good I cannot go wrong in living by it. I love this church and I know it has strengthened my relationship with my Heavenly Father every day that I live and I couldn't be more grateful for it.

How I live my faith

I work hard at everything I get involved in. Sometimes I make life a little too hard than it necessarily has to be, and I find when I am struggling with something looking to my Heavenly Father for help and comfort has never steered me wrong. My faith in God and in Jesus Christ is what keeps me going. Without my faith I feel I'd be lost in the motions of my daily tasks and I wouldn't ever give myself a chance to stop and appreciate the beauty of what God has created, which includes myself and my life. I feel Gods love for me in everything I do, and I wouldn't be where I am without His blessings and opportunities that I have been able to experience.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Miranda Robison
We believe the Bible to be a testament of Jesus Christ and we regard it as holy scripture as far as it is translated correctly. We believe that the Bible should be taken seriously just as we believe in the Book of Mormon to be. Both the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible testify of Christ, and both testify of each other.
