Hi I'm Betty Jo Maughan Miller

I'm a cancer survivor and I teach Tai Chi Chuan in Missoula, Montana. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm the mother of a genius son, a severely developmentally delayed daughter, and five beautiful step-children; plus, a grandmother of three. I have a BS in Biological Science Education, a MA in Communication Studies and a "PhD" in my sweet husband. I'm a lousy housekeeper and I don't like talking on the phone. BUT, I can cook and I love helping green things grow---preferably in my garden! I also like to read, play the piano, do family history and laugh with friends. I have lived in Montana, far from my extended family, for nearly forty years and I still miss them every day!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but I choose to be a Mormon! Jesus Christ is my friend, my exemplar, and my Savior. He is the light of this world and my breathe of life. I am a Mormon because here I have found the fullness of the gospel!

How I live my faith

I can't say I do anything spectacularly---I just do the best I can in whatever I'm able to do. I do consider myself blessed to be surrounded by children on Sunday's as I play the piano for their singing time---they make me smile and I learn so much from them! I pray and read scriptures, both personally and with my husband, every day and try to be a good friend and neighbor. I began indexing records for family history work in the hopes of finding information on my husband's "lost" family. While that has not yet happened, I thoroughly enjoy this work and know that my small efforts may help someone else find his/her family!
