Hi I'm Christian Daniels

I run marathons and I enjoy pole vaulting. I love to study anatomy and learn about the human body. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Christian, I'm 18 years old, and I love sports. I love to play any sport any time. I especially enjoy running and pole vaulting. I recently completed my second marathon in 3 hours 39 minutes. I pole vaulted throughout high school and loved every minute of it; my personal best was 13 feet 9 inches. I just finished my first year at Brigham Young University (BYU). Here I discovered that calculus is not my forte and that the human body is a miracle. My human anatomy class taught me about the complexities of our bodies and how magnificent it is that we can perform even simple tasks like walking or speaking. After my two-year mission to Honduras I plan on returning to BYU to finish my degree and then attending medical school to specialize in surgery. I love the Book of Mormon and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It has brought so much happiness to my family and me, for which I am always grateful. I know that obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ will solve any problems you may have and bring great happiness to your life as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for one reason. It is not because my parents are Mormons or because I was raised to be a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I performed an experiment to see if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the way to salvation as the only true church of God on the earth today. As a teenager I read the Book of Mormon, attended church meetings, and actively participated in church activities. One night I decided to get down on my knees and ask God if the things I had been learning were true and if I was on the path that would lead me back to Him. When I concluded my prayer I had an undeniable feeling in my heart and in my mind that I was exactly where I needed to be. The Holy Ghost bore His special witness to me that the Book of Mormon was another testament of Jesus Christ in addition to the Bible, that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church of God. This experience changed my life and has been a major motivation to remain an active Mormon. It has blessed my life immensely as a continual source of happiness and dedication to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to walk in the path Jesus laid during His time on earth. I try my best to serve and love everyone I meet. I strive to always be friendly and cheerful and to be a person that everyone enjoys being around. Also, I live my faith by doing as the Prophet and other church leaders have directed. This includes attending my church meetings and serving a two-year mission. I have been called to serve these two years in Honduras and I am very excited to be a full-time representative of Jesus Christ and to share the gospel message with the people of Central America. Lastly, I love to serve. Although giving of my time and energy is always hard, helping someone in need is always turns out to be enjoyable and satisfying.
