Hi I'm Jean

I grew up in Rexburg, Idaho. We had a small farm, where I learned to work. My father died when I was one. I am a Mormon.

About Me

After graduating from BYU, I served a mission to Taiwan. When I came home I started teaching school and taught elementary education for 31 years. When I got married, I inherited two daughters. I had been married for 27 years when my husband died. I have been interested in knowing more about my husband's family, so I have been doing family history work. I also do indexing and arbitrating for family search. My favorite hobby is spending time with my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by a mother who had a great deal of faith and a strong testimony of the gospel. She instilled in all 5 of her children a desire to pray and serve the Lord. It has given me great comfort to know that our Heavenly Father is aware of us and will answer our prayers. I knew that I would have challenges in life, but as I think of the joy I have, I have been greatly blessed.

How I live my faith

I have always served in the church, and enjoy visiting other sister to get to know them. I organize and help deliver a birthday remembrance to the women in our area. I meet with other single women and organize activities that interest them.
