Hi I'm Tiffany

I'm a wife and mom, teacher, volunteer, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a fourth generation Japanese American. I have never been to Japan but I am grateful for my rich Japanese heritage. I graduated from college with a degree in Statistics and then served a mission for the LDS church in Berlin, Germany. After I competed my mission, I got married and my husband and I have four children. When our youngest started preschool, I went back to college for graduate school and finished in 2010. While my kids are in school, I teach math and statistics classes, volunteer in their classrooms, and spend my free time reading, scrapbooking, doing laundry, etc.

Why I am a Mormon

I am blessed to have been born into a family who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I am a Mormon because I have prayed to know for myself whether this church has the true gospel of Jesus Christ. As a missionary, I was confronted by many who didn't share my faith. Sharing my testimony with them strengthened my conviction. Living the gospel day to day continues to strengthen it. I am grateful for the many blessings that being a Mormon brings to my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently a volunteer leader in our church youth group, so I spend a lot of time helping to plan and organize activities and Sunday spiritual meetings for the teenage girls in our congregation. They are great examples to me of youth striving to live good lives and follow the example of Jesus Christ. I have also enjoyed working with the children in our church, playing the piano for meetings, serving as a Cub Scout leader, and teaching lessons. I try to live my faith by loving my children and teaching them the things that I know will bring them happiness, by being kind to others, by helping in my community, and sharing my conviction that Jesus Christ is my Savior.
