Hi I'm Marissa

I am a college student studying art and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be creative whether this is through art, dance, music, crafts, cake decorating, or sewing. I have always enjoyed magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens. I also enjoy inventing new solutions to problems such as helping organizations or people to be more effective.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up as a member of the Church and was baptized when I was eight. I have also attended a church school. All of these things have served to strengthen my knowledge of the gospel, but when life gets hard being raised a member, or even attending a church school is not enough. There have been many times when I can feel the Holy Ghost as I pray, read the scriptures, or attend church meetings. This is what I rely on. You can know if something by its fruits and I know that the gospel is good.

How I live my faith

Growing up in Utah it has been easy to live my faith, at least on the outside, because most of my neighbors and friends are members. That being said, there are many people who can float along without really strengthening their personal testimony or knowledge of the gospel. I try each day to live and strengthen that deeper inner knowledge by finding ways to serve in my family, being a peace maker, finding time to pray and study the scriptures, and pondering what my religion means to me.
