Hi I'm Beth

I grew up in Pennsylvania. I teach and write about how to make yarn from wool. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother of 4 (two grown up daughters and one son and one daughter still at home) and I am obsessed with wool. I study the breeds of sheep and spin their wool. I also write and talk and teach anyone who will listen to me all about wool and how wonderful it is. I have talked about wool so much that a publisher has agreed to publish a book about my research in 2014.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church just one week before I turned 18. No one else in my family joined and they still haven't although I am still a very active and faithful member. I knew as soon as I heard it that this was the church for me. I could feel in my heart the truth of it. Though I didn't grow up in a very religiously active family, I knew that this was the right thing to do even at 17 years old.

How I live my faith

In addition to all of my talk about sheep, I also love to talk about the scriptures. To satisfy this I have an assignment at church to teach the seminary class. This means that every morning that there is school, all of the kids from church who are of high school age (between 14 and 18 years old) come with me to the church building at 6 AM and we talk and learn about the Gospel.
