Hi I'm Taylor Watson

I am from San Clemente, California. I attend Brigham Young University. I love my family, m&ms, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a beautiful little beach town in southern California. I love the sunshine and to lounge around at the beach. I love play soccer, tennis, and occasionally...but not so gracefully... surfing! I'm a student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I'm studying Exercise and Wellness and one day hope to be a nurse. My favorite thing in the world is to be with my family. They are my best friends I love them dearly.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong, faithful, Mormon family. Being Mormon is more than a religion, it is a lifestyle. I have been raised on certain moral values that I live by on a day to day basis. Although it is difficult and members of this church make a lot of sacrifices, I know that my faith brings me happiness. We all have a father in Heaven that loves us. Life can bring depression, sorrow, and trials. I know that there are so many people that feel alone and like there is no one out there for them. Even at times I can feel sad and singular. But even at my lowest moments, I can tell myself that my Savior, Jesus Christ, is a constant companion. He is always there for me. He died on the cross and has felt all my sorrows. He loves me and I hope that one day I can be perfect like him. I know that I have a family that loves me and strengthens me. Friends may come and go, but family is forever. I know with all my heart that the gospel is true. I would not change any part of my life and I hope that others can find happiness in Christ and the gospel. I am a Mormon because there is nothing else in this world that brings me more joy. I know this church is true.

How I live my faith

In high school many of my friends were not Mormon. At times it was difficult because they did not always understand my standards and why I live by my faith. I always try my best to be an example of what I believe by being kind and sweet to everyone. Being Mormon has brought me so much joy. I hope that my warm and happy attitude reflects how grateful I am for my faith. I love to be involved in church activities, whether it be through service projects like a beach clean up, or teaching the primary children at church. When I serve others, I feel closer to Christ and I feel this sweet, content feeling inside. I find it so rewarding to serve those around me. I know that Christ died for me and in return I hope to live a life of joy and happiness and show gratitude for all of the many blessings in my life.
