Hi I'm Xavier Roedel Kingston

I love my family. I want to see the world. I am really into sports (especially basketball and tennis). And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of four siblings, and my family is worth more than can be expressed by me, and have completed one year of college thus far at Brigham Young University. I participate in basketball and tennis in any way I can, whether being a player, analyst, or coach. I also am into family history work and love to serve others however I can. I am currently serving a mission in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission, speaking Spanish. I have owned and run my own lawn-mowing business for four years and counting. I also can play the piano and the guitar. My life dreams include having a family of my own, traveling the world, and by doing so, meeting people everywhere that become best friends. Speaking of which, friends and family, doing even small things that may seem trivial at times such as racing in shopping carts with them are what gives joy to this journey of life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, which is to say that my family were members before I was born, and that this is the church I grew up in. Living in Idaho, there are a significant number of LDS (Mormon) members here. There are still a lot more people of others faiths though. Even though I was born in the church, I still wanted to know for myself if the LDS church was true, and so I fasted and prayed much about it when I was 10. I know I was still young, but even then, I felt a powerful feeling that let me know that this was the true church. Perhaps the two greatest reasons why I felt like this assurance was correct was the focus on unity, and especially family, in the LDS church. I could have never accomplished what I have in this life without the aid of my parents, siblings, and other family members. My friends, whether a member of the LDS faith or not, have always been a major part of my life and an outstanding support, and always will be. The other reason is the example of Christ, our Savior, in particular his willingness to serve. People of the LDS faith love to serve one another, as our Savior did. He is a perfect example for me. I know I have felt His love on many occasions, and I thank Him greatly and love Him Doing so brings about great joy, and I wanted to be a part of this.

How I live my faith

I am a believer in faith evident through works. Faith is not just a belief, but a belief that inspires action, and the work from that action. You get no where in life with out hard work, and it is by these small and simple means of work that great things happen. Jesus Christ Himself was the perfect example of this, and that is who I strive to live my life after. It matters not whether it is trying to dunk a basketball, graduate from high school, finding the truth out for yourself, or maybe even finding the girl of your dreams or something like that; where there is a belief, and the work to back the belief, the miracles will come. Miracles always come. Faith through works, which leaves no regrets. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, or miracles that you don't strive for.

Are Mormons Christians?

Xavier Roedel Kingston
Yes. We firmly believe in Jesus Christ. He is The Son Of God, our Savior, Redeemer, Messiah, King, Lord, and our older brother. Words can not be said, nor feelings expressed, from the joy that I feel knowing and loving my Savior, as do other members of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Show more Show less
