Hi I'm Ty

I grew up in Bozeman Montana. I enjoy anything outdoors and I love the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I just graduated from High School, and I'm sitting in between times in my life where it seems like the next moment, the next decision I make could define my the rest of my life. In my life I have found joy in the small and simple things that I like to do, or in other words that I have become passionate about. I like to wrestle, I started when I was young and stuck with it though high school mainly because of the life lessons it has and continues to teach me. In High School I placed at state three times and was captain of the JV and Varsity teams. I like to be outside, camping, climbing, riding, hiking, swimming, snowboarding and sailing, anything that is outside I will enjoy doing. I was in the Boy Scouts of America were I earned my Eagle Scout rank at 14 and then spent a summer working on a island scout camp as one of the aquatics instructors and life guards. I loved every minute of it. I like adrenaline and I like to drive fast toys, I plan to one day become a fighter pilot and serve my country by going supersonic in the Navy or the Marines. I like space and I like to learn. The wonders of the universe are so great and baffling all at once. I was fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to attend space camp in Huntsville Alabama and this has help drive my curiosity of space by leaps and bounds. Also I like to help others, to laugh and to overcome challenges. My life has only been but a short moment of time but it is full of things that I am passionate about.

Why I am a Mormon

“The Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done.” -Joseph Smith Jr. I have seen the darkness that is cast upon the land, I have felt the waves that have beaten upon my vesicle. I have just barley begun to leave the harbor and I hope to catch the wind of the lord to carry me onward, to the lights across the sea. I know that a storm lies in my path, but a compass is in my hands and my eyes are fixed on the goal. Across the darkness I must sail, following only the lights of others before me, and that which is in my hand. The Standard works will be my guide when all other lights fade from my view. I will press onward so I too may be a light along the shore and be with my Father again.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve and to labor in the Cavite Philippians Mission. Where I have accepted a call to serve for 24 months. The area that I've grown up in, and will for ever call my home, has had a rather small congregation, so in the past I have had the opportunity to have been asked to serve as a leader to my fellow youth. During my High School years every morning, Monday though Friday, I would wake up at 5AM to go to a religious study class where we learned about the teachings of Christ, before and after his life. This has all been in preparation to serve the Lord full time over the next two years. My service is completely voluntary and of my own free will. I believe that to serve is not only a duty that I now have but a privilege that I have, to share that which is scared to me to those who are without it. To bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. This scripture help define it: Alma 29:1-2 1 O that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart, that I might go forth and speak with the trump of God, with a voice to shake the earth, and cry repentance unto every people! 2 Yea, I would declare unto every soul, as with the voice of thunder, repentance and the plan of redemption, that they should repent and come unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth.
