Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in Texas. I'm a studying to be a Music Therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Rachel, and I'm currently a junior in college. I really enjoy the fine arts such as writing, drawing, and listening to or making music. I'm a music therapy major, and this means that one day as a Music Therapist I will help people via musical interventions. I find joy in music. Occasionally I write my own songs, and I have fun doing so. I like to spend time with friends going out to eat, seeing a movie, church dances/activities, and generally having a good time. I like to look on the bright side, and I try to see the good in the people around me. I like to be happy.

Why I am a Mormon

Like most things in life, you have a choice to be who you are. I am a Mormon because I choose to be one. There are a lot of back stories, experiences, thoughts, and prayer that lead up to that statement, but ultimately my life has lead me to the choice that I am a Mormon, I live it, and love it. There is peace here that I have never found anywhere else, and a comfort that that stays with you day by day. In all my life the church and the gospel have been the foundation and the unchanging rock in my ever changing life. Through thick and thin I know that truth is truth, and peace is peace and that is why I choose to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I’ve had many calling in the church in many positions of leadership and service. I participate in ward and stake activities, and occasionally help to plan and instigate activities for both members and nonmembers. I do my best to fulfill my callings within the church. I try to live my faith regardless of where I am at or who I am with.
