Hi I'm Kyle

I'm a husband, father and soon to be grandfather. I'm a Business Professional. I'm a hunter and golfer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona and have lived here most of my life. I played basketball and golf in high school and participated in Boy Scouts, eventually earning the rank of Eagle Scout. After high school I served an 18-month mission for the church to Mexico (12 months) and Puerto Rico (6 months). I learned to love Latin America (people, culture, music, language, food, etc.). I studied Chemical Engineering and International Business and now use my Spanish and Portuguese language skills working in International Sales in Latin America. I have been married to a wonderful woman for 26 years and have two great boys (now men) that I am very proud of. I will soon be a grandfather and am very excited to achieve that title! In my spare time I enjoy hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and especially golf, and hope to participate in those activities for many more years with my wife, my boys and my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been familiar with the Church all of my life as my mother was a long-time member and my father converted when I was young. I was taught the gospel of Jesus Christ all through my youth by my parents and had a testimony of the gospel, but when I had to make a decision whether or not to serve an 18-month mission for the Church, I knew that I had to really know for myself that what I would be teaching to others was true. I prayed to God to know that the Church was true. I received my answer and served for 18 months in Mexico and Puerto Rico. My testimony grew stronger as I witnessed the effect that the gospel had on the lives of others as they learned about and experienced the power of the Attonement of Jesus Christ. When I became a father, the principles of the gospel taught by the Church became even more important to me as I could see the challenges that my boys would face as they grew up in today's world. The guidance and council provided by the Lord through a living prophet proved invaluable in raising my boys and teaching them to love and follow God. I have felt the love of Jesus Christ throughout my life and know that through his Atonement and Grace I can return to live with him. I try to live my life according to his example and teachings and hope to share with others the joy that the gospel has brought to my life.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve others in the church in many different ways throughout my life. I think that my favorite service opportunity has been in working with the young men of the church in the Young Men program and the Boy Scouts. In that capacity I have had the chance to teach the young men about both religious and life topics. I have learned and grown myself right along with the young men as we've worked on service projects, hiked in the Grand Canyon or on a 50-mile hike in the White Mountains, or just worked together on Merit Badges and other achievement goals. It is an amazing process to watch boys become men and make the comittment to serve God and serve others throughout their lives.
