Hi I'm Jonathan Morgan

I am from the UK, hopped about alot and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Was born in Cardiff Wales, grew up in Galston on Sea (just out side Great Yarmouth) and grew up further in Blackpool Lancashire. I am into Role play games, model painting and table to war gaming along with other things. I love to Roller skate when I am well enough. I really love doing drama and acting as my health permits. Served a full time mission in Scotland from 2004 to 2006 and it was some of the best times in my life! Currently single but hopefully for not much longer. Though I suffer from 'M.E' which leaves me often with little to no stamina I strive to do my best to keep busy, writing stories, drawing pictures and spending time with my friends both LDS and nonmember. I like to think of my self as a shy person with lots of out going habits. I really like to laugh and help others to do so too!

Why I am a Mormon

I was very blessed to be able to have both parents that are converts to the church. They have taught me since I was young about the gospel and I will forever be grateful for that. I still had to come to a knowledge of the truthfulness of the church for my self. I followed the promise found in the Book of Mormon found in Moroni 10:3-5. I knelt down and prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was what it claimed to be, and if Joseph Smith was the a prophet of God. By this simple act of faith I got my answer from the Holy Ghost that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is God's church on the earth today. It has his gospel, his priesthood authority Not only do I have this witness but I have done my best to keep the commandments and directions of the gospel and gained a personal testimony that they do work even when I don't know why or how. I have felt the Spirit of God touch my life and give me support as I have striven to do my best. I am a Mormon because of the happiness it brings to my life now and because of the promised blessings that will come from being a faithful member of the church. I don't understand all the facts but I have come to know that God love me and all his children and wants us all to be happy. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the way to eternal happiness and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints has the whole gospel and I have never found any thing else in this life that compares to it. I know through simple acts of faith and trust you can find out for your self if book of Mormon is true. Mostly from the witness of the Holy Ghost, but also from putting what I have learnt to the test. I would strongly encourage every one to come and try it for your self. I love my testimony of this gospel and church and would not trade it for any thing. If your reading this I pray you will find it helpful and that my words have inspired you to find out for your self if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint's is all it claims to be.

How I live my faith

I find that being an Latter day saint means that living your faith is vital, it's a doing religion. I am currently I ward missionary in my local ward so get to spend lots of time with the full time missionaries. I also have the great chance to meet with and work with new members of the church along with those looking into it. I find that doing the little things often is the best way to keep your self strong, reading your scriptures every day and making sure to always have a prayer in your heart, even when it's not the easiest thing to do. If you focus on the basics then I find that the bigger stuff falls into place. The best bit of advice that I got by when things get hard is never go it alone. Heavenly father is always just a simple prayer away even when you don't feel like you worth his attention or have slipped up in some way. He always loves us and hasn't sent us hear to fail. I try my best to keep the commandments as they are there for our safety and happiness and though at times seem restrictive have always steered my right. Doing your best to live the gospel as the church teaches is the best way to get through this life as happily as possible. So to sum up how I life my faith is by being as active in it as a possibly can be. It's not always possible to attend church with my health troubles but I can do my best to make Sundays a special day for the Lord. Live the principles and commandments for your self and not for others and see how they will bless and help you and those you care about. I't not always easy but it is always worth it!
