Hi I'm Tyler

I'm serving a 2 year mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kinshasa Mission. I'm from Alaska. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary serving in the Democratic Republic of Congo Kinshasa Mission, in the Cameroon submission. It is French speaking. I love the Gospel and I have had a lot of new experiences here in Africa. The food takes some geting used to, but the people are amazing. Back home in Alaska, I work at the Reindeer Farm, where I get to to horseback trail rides and work the reindeer. I love music. I play clarinet and tenor saxophone. I love to ride horses. After I return from my mission, I will attend BYU and major in finance.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there is no other way I could live my life. Our church makes sense. It's logical. It works. If I need help, I simply need to ask Heavenly Father for help, and He will provide that help. The guidelines we live our lives by are there to help us, not hinder us. Some view our rules as restricting, but each one of them is there for a reason. When I am living the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I am truly happy. There is no purer joy than that which comes from living the Gospel. I am a Mormon because I love it!

How I live my faith

Right now I'm living my faith by dedicating every second of my time for the next 2 years to the Lord. This gospel brings such peace and happiness into my life, that I cannot just keep it for myself. I have to share it. As a missionary I am a representative of Jesus Christ. I am searching for those who will hear the Lord's call to come unto Him. I hope to spread this message to as many as will receive it.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Living in Alaska, I see first hand the beauty of the Lord's hand. The beautiful environment in which I live couldn't have happened by accident. It was all put there with us in mind. It's like when a father builds a new bed for his child and gets really excited for his child to be able to use it. I think the Lord looks at His creations and must feel the same way. He really cares for us and wants us to have joy in our lives. Show more Show less
