Hi I'm David

I'm from Texas, and am a college swimmer for BYU. I want to be a Petroleum Engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student, taking a two-year break to serve a LDS mission. I also am a swimmer for my Division-1 school. I love being adventurous and gaining new experiences. I also enjoy math and science, and am studying to become a Petroleum Engineer.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strong family of the church; however, i made sure to find out for myself whether the church was true or not. Little by little, my testimony grew as i attended church and participated in my meetings and classes. I began to realize the truth behind this gospel and accepted it into my life. I have a strong testimony in family, and that through god's plan of happiness we can be sealed with them forever. This means so much to me, as it is a constant reminder that family is what it's all about. It encourages me to work hard to have a family of my own that is sealed for eternity.

How I live my faith

During college, I was a teacher for a sunday school class at church. I also was a hometeacher for two girls and guys throughout the year. This assignment consists of checking up on these members and offering my service to them for just about any area of their life, helping out in any way possible. In my community, I actively participate in community service. Through my college's athletic program, I taught disabled kids how to swim at our local pool.
