Hi I'm Todd Smith

I grew up in St George Utah. I love basketball. I am going to serve a mission in San Diego, California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love basketball, Ping Pong and Golf. I enjoy hiking and swimming and I am proud to be an American. I am studying Biology and I am hoping to go to Medical School or Dental School after I graduate with my bachelor's degree. I am taking a break from my studies and going to serve a mission in San Diego. I leave in a few weeks and I can't wait to serve the lord! I hope to return from a faithful mission and raise a family of my own.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it brings me happiness. The Plan of Salvation brings me peace and comfort knowing that I will see my loved ones again someday. I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and I know it is true. I cannot deny the spirit I have felt countless times in my life. I was born and raised in the church but I have done my research and have prayed about it and I know this is God's church. We have a living prophet on the earth today in Thomas S. Monson. I enjoy watching and rereading conference talks from living prophets who get direct revelation from God. I know Jesus Christ lives and he cares for every one of us. He wants us to be able to return to the presence of our heavenly father and he paid the price so we can do so. The Knowledge of this gospel gives my life perspective and purpose and I am eternally grateful that I am a member of God's church.

How I live my faith

Going to Church strengthens my faith in Jesus Christ every week. It is a great place for neighbors and friends to build each other up. Church is my favorite 3 hours of the week because of the peace I feel when I go. I strive to read the Bible or the Book of Mormon every day to remind myself of the covenants I have made and for strength to resist temptation. Every month my age group in the church (16-18 year old young men) do service for someone. There is no greater joy than forgetting yourself and serving others. I am blessed to be apart of Christ's church and to be able to serve a mission for him in a few weeks in San Diego.
