Hi I'm Corinne Santiago

I am a college student. I am a lover of all things beautiful. I am a designer...and I am a mormon.

About Me

My name is Corinne Santiago. I am a lover of all things beautiful, creative, and inspirational, which coincidentally makes me an aspiring graphic designer, photographer, interior designer, and creative advertising extraordinaire. Ever since I was able to pick up a paint brush, I have strived to create beauty in the garish world around me. Dance, singing, and playing the piano are some of my favorite past times that have developed much of the inspiration from which I draw from. Growing up in Dallas, Texas is another source of my inspiration. Everything from the breathtaking Botanical Gardens to the Dallas night skyline spark a thought which leads to design which leads to a final product. I am currently in my last semester here at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am studying Interior Design and Communications with an emphasis in Visual Media. I have been married since September 1, 2012 to the most perfect man that God could have given me. Ryan has been done with school for four years now and is patiently waiting for me to finish so that we can both go back to the place we love...Texas :)

Why I am a Mormon

I don't know one person that wouldn't want to be with their family for eternity. When I got married, this desire that I had to be with Ryan forever, increased. Through the ordinances of the restored gospel, I know that I am able to be with my family forever. I do not want a "til death do us part". I want a forever. I know that we are all sent to this earth to be tested. We will not receive these great blessings if we do not do our part. We are the Lord's tools. We must further his work and glory while we are here on this earth. We must strive to live lives according to what he has shown us when he reigned on this earth each day so that we will be worthy to live in His presence. I find great comfort in knowing that my redeemer lives! I know that he loves me. I know that I will be able to improve myself each day through Christ's glorious atonement. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have never felt closer to my father in heaven then I have after reading this book. I love my savior and I love this gospel.

How I live my faith

I have grown up in the Latter Day Saint church, but I still have to increase my faith daily as if I don't know the truth. I first gained a testimony of this church after going to my first trek with the youth in my church. We did everything we could to get a real experience like the pioneers did in the early stages of the church. We walked, pushed handcarts, made our meals in dutch ovens, slept in tents, walked, played pioneer games, walked, sang, endured the "women's push", and much more. This was the first time that my faith was really tested. After much prayer, scripture study, and a change in attitude, I was able to appreciate what the pioneers went through to restore this gospel. Since then, I have been able to speak with my father in heaven as if he was my temporal father. I know that he hears me and answers my prayers through the words of the scriptures and through the Holy Ghost.
