Hi I'm Alexis

I grew up in Idaho with an older sister and six older brothers. I'm a preschool teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development, and am now at a preschool. Working with children brings a light into my life. I love playing the piano, violin, and cello, as well as teaching music. I am happily married and enjoy going on walks and playing board games with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of this church, and am so grateful for my family for teaching me the Gospel truths. Every week growing up we would attend church, spend time as a family, and have family home evening. Every day we learned lessons about the Gospel and the Book of Mormon. My parents are excellent examples on serving the Lord and serving their neighbors. They taught me to love and how to know right from wrong. When I was little I based my testimony off of theirs, but as I grew to be a teenager, I felt the truth for myself, and knew that this church is true. Each Sunday as I go to church my testimony grows. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior; that He died for me and that He lives again. I know that President Thomas Monson is our true and living prophet today and I love listening to all the general authorities at conferences. I am grateful for the knowledge that families can be together forever, even after this life, because my family is so important to me.

How I live my faith

In my ward I am a nursery teacher, and oh how I love teaching those young children! Since they are between ages 18 months and three, we play a quite a bit. However it is so great to be able to incorporate church teachings into the children's play. We are able to sing songs and teach lessons with them as well. I also love going visiting teaching. As I moved into this ward, I didn't know anyone. But now my girls I visit teach every month have become wonderful friends!
